So instead we'll sing at the 11:00 AM service here at Arlington Forest United Methodist Church.
(It is the appropriate day in the liturgical calendar for our Palestrina.)
Our next formal concert will be in the Fall.

- From his personal CD collection, Peter Wolf has identified our Haydn Missa Brevis as the Missa rotate coeli desuper (Hob. XXII:3).
There are still questions to its attribution.
The Mass may be "the joint work of master and pupil, [George] Reutter and Haydn, dating from the late 1740s when Haydn was still a choirboy at the Hofkapelle in Vienna."

- Meet upstairs at 9:45 Sunday to warm up. After that we'll rehearse the Buxtehude Magnificat with the violins.
- We will rehearse the Byrd Mass and perhaps the Monteverdi Cantate Domino for 20-30 minutes after the service Sunday (noonish).
- In Lo V'chayil, on the word "amar" in the 6th bar of the tune, it's B♭, not natural.
- There was a black scarf left in the parlor after rehearsal. We didn't know whether it belonged to one of us. We left it in the lost and found in the church office.
- I now have a Zoom H2 digital audio recorder which I plan to use for recording concerts.
I could easily record rehearsals and put them on the website too, if there's interest.

- We're looking for a date in December to sing at a Sunday-morning service at
Arlington Forest United Methodist Church
(the church where we rehearse), as we did last April.
The most likely dates are December 14th or 7th.
- We rehearsed in the Parlor tonight because there was no heat in the Chapel.
We tried using the Library first, but there was a combo rehearsing with amplified instruments in the adjacent classroom.
